FOR CHRIS · GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4
Your Analytics.
Ready for Arthur.
Use your own Google account, keep control of RoboSprout, and give Arthur the access he needs to finish the website connection.
Already have Analytics? Reuse the existing RoboSprout GA4 property. If there are several possibilities, pause and ask Arthur before creating another.
START WITH OWNERSHIP
Sign in as yourself
Open Google Analytics. Check the profile picture at the top right and use your Google account for RoboSprout.
If Google asks you to sign in, use your own login. Arthur should have his own access later; you don’t need to share a password.
AVOID A DUPLICATE
Find the RoboSprout property
Use the account/property selector near the top left. Look for RoboSprout, then open Admin (the gear icon).
Use the existing GA4 property
Check whether its web stream is for robosprout.com. Keep its time zone and currency unchanged.
Skip to step 4 →Create one in step 3
Only proceed once you’re sure the business doesn’t already have the right property.
Continue to step 3 →ONLY IF NO PROPERTY EXISTS
Create RoboSprout’s property
- Brand new to Analytics: select Start measuring, use RoboSprout for the account name, and leave optional account data-sharing boxes off.
- Already have an Analytics account: select the business account you control, then choose Admin → Create → Property.
- For the new property, use the settings below. Select the real industry and business size, then choose Drive online sales if offered.
- Select Create. Review Google’s terms and any data-processing terms; accept only if you agree.
These are suggested settings for a new property. Use different settings if RoboSprout reports in another time zone or currency.
Skip optional prompts for Google Signals or user-provided data collection. Arthur can review the website’s measurement settings afterward.
POINT IT AT THE RIGHT WEBSITE
Open or create the web stream
If the RoboSprout web stream already exists, open it. Otherwise choose Add stream → Web and enter:
Protocol: https://
Website field: www.robosprout.com
Stream name: RoboSprout website
Select Create & continue (some layouts say Create stream). Close the installation instructions when they appear.
THE IMPORTANT PERMISSION
Give Arthur Editor access
Make sure you’re in Property access management for RoboSprout. This grants access to the selected property.
Arthur is already in the user list
If his effective role is already Editor or Administrator, keep it. If his access is lower, open his entry, select Editor, and Save. Don’t remove your own Administrator role.
If cost or revenue restrictions are inherited and can’t be changed here, tell Arthur rather than changing broader account permissions.
HAND IT OVER
Send Arthur three details
Property name + numeric Property IDAdmin → Property details
Measurement ID starting with G-Admin → Data streams → the RoboSprout web stream
Confirmation that access is ready“Editor access added for wolf.arthur@gmail.com”
Property name: [your property name]
Property ID: [numeric ID]
Measurement ID: G-[your ID]
Editor access added for wolf.arthur@gmail.com
Never send your password or an API secret. “No data received” can be normal until the website installation is finished.
THAT’S YOUR PART DONE
Stop here.
Arthur handles the website.
You keep Administrator access. Arthur will connect Analytics to RoboSprout’s website and check that it’s receiving data.
